Not all who wander are lost...

So I finally have my own blog.  Most people wouldn't know, but that fills me with more anxiety and stress than it should.  I'm not the best writer (as I often write how I would speak, ha!) and the idea that people can go back and read my randomness is just...I don't know, intimidating?  But I will ask patience from those who will bear with me as I figure it all out.  Having a reliable platform for sharing stories and pictures is (in my opinion) much better than long-winded, rarely read e-mails.

So what kind of stories and pictures do I have in mind to share?  Well I guess that brings me to where I am in life.  A while ago I decided I wanted to go back to school, but I also wanted more international experience....so I applied to a joint program with the Peace Corps and Southern New Hampshire University to study International Community Economic Development.  I'm finishing up my second semester of school this week (hooray!) and then I head to Guatemala in January for the next 27 months to work on a project which will be my thesis.  I am VERY excited!

I really hope you all can enjoy sharing this experience with me.  Please leave comments/feedback and keep me up to date on your adventures as well!

Much love,
Brittany

  2. Don't be afraid to type how you talk. That's how I do and as long as you don't overuse your commas, you're cool with me :)

  5. Brittany, you got a blog! So cool! This is awesome to hear, so you're getting your Masters? And you're in the Peace Corp? I want to go to Guatemala! I think I am going with my church next spring or summer. Our church sends a group there twice a year for Mission trips. Maybe I'll give you a call when we're down there! Te echo de menos, y Dios te Bendiga, mi amiga. Adios

  9. Yea! Travel Blogs are great! My travel blog started out as being a way to communicate to my family that I was still alive and ended up being a great way to look back on my experiences when I got back. Kinda like a diary, umm, except it's on the world wide web...but write whatever!! Who reads these things anyway...jk ;-)

Have fun! I'm planning my visit!

  12. Hello Love!

I am so excited for you and what lies ahead. We will continue to miss you in Chicago but know that you are where God wants you to be and doing the work He has planned for you. We will pray for your safety, for your growth, for support when you feel weak, and for your boundaries to be stretch and your vessel molded. May the people you meet be blessed by your presence as you have blessed and enriched our lives!

    With love and joy!
    Megan
