So what kind of stories and pictures do I have in mind to share? Well I guess that brings me to where I am in life. A while ago I decided I wanted to go back to school, but I also wanted more international experience....so I applied to a joint program with the Peace Corps and Southern New Hampshire University to study International Community Economic Development. I'm finishing up my second semester of school this week (hooray!) and then I head to Guatemala in January for the next 27 months to work on a project which will be my thesis. I am VERY excited!
I really hope you all can enjoy sharing this experience with me. Please leave comments/feedback and keep me up to date on your adventures as well!
Much love,
Brittany
おめでとう! (Congratulations) on your finishing the school work and heading into the field!
ReplyDeleteDon't be afraid to type how you talk. That's how I do and as long as you don't overuse your commas, you're cool with me :)

yey! this will be cool since you are going to be "wandering" about quite a bit. great title. i've been such a slacker with our other blog. maybe you'll inspire me to get it going again.
ReplyDeleteWhatever! You are a great writer!
ReplyDeleteThank you for doing this so that we can keep up with you. Much love.
Brittany, you got a blog! So cool! This is awesome to hear, so you're getting your Masters? And you're in the Peace Corp? I want to go to Guatemala! I think I am going with my church next spring or summer. Our church sends a group there twice a year for Mission trips. Maybe I'll give you a call when we're down there! Te echo de menos, y Dios te Bendiga, mi amiga. Adios
ReplyDeletegood luck, I hope it's a safe and rewarding trip.
ReplyDeleteThanks for keeping us updated Brittany. It's great to hear from you and I'll look forward to following your blog. Love, Misti
ReplyDeleteyay! i love to hear your adventure stories! I will keep you updated with our adventures here too, however they may be more like Home buying adventures than wilderness adventures!
ReplyDeleteI'm so thrilled for you and hope we can come visit you there and have some adventures of our own with you!!!

Sheena
Yea! Travel Blogs are great! My travel blog started out as being a way to communicate to my family that I was still alive and ended up being a great way to look back on my experiences when I got back. Kinda like a diary, umm, except it's on the world wide web...but write whatever!! Who reads these things anyway...jk ;-)
ReplyDeleteHave fun! I'm planning my visit!

Thanks everyone for all the encouragement!! It would be wonderful to meet up sooner rather than later...especially if it's down south :) Just let me know!
ReplyDeleteHOPE YOUR TRAVEL & BLOGGING ADVENTURES ADD TO THE BEAUTY OF YOUR LIFE!!! You are a treasure, Brittany!
ReplyDeleteHello Love!
ReplyDeleteI am so excited for you and what lies ahead. We will continue to miss you in Chicago but know that you are where God wants you to be and doing the work He has planned for you. We will pray for your safety, for your growth, for support when you feel weak, and for your boundaries to be stretch and your vessel molded. May the people you meet be blessed by your presence as you have blessed and enriched our lives!
With love and joy!
Megan
